Does the 20% of the apprenticeship off-the-job training have to be completed in work time?

Yes, the 6 hours per week off-the-job training has to be completed by the apprentice during normal working hours. Any off-the-job training undertaken outside of working hours will not count towards their required total off the job training needed for completion of their apprenticeship.
