What is the main eligibility criteria for an apprenticeship?

To be eligible for an apprenticeship you need to be: 


  • Age 16+ 
  • Be an EU resident for three years or more 
  • Be employed in England 
  • Have a relevant job role that fits the standard 
  • Have substantive learning left across the knowledge, skills and behaviours required
  • Must be able to demonstrate progress in the skills, knowledge an behaviour aspects of the standard. To show progress means they must have development to achieve 
  • Must not not have relevant prior learning higher than the apprenticeship you are seeking.
